City of West Sacramento

The West Sacramento Fire Department, in partnership with the West Sacramento Firefighters’ Association, is set to kick off its Annual Santa Run. This festive tradition features Santa riding a decorated fire truck “sleigh,” accompanied by off-duty firefighter “elves,” who will spread holiday cheer and hand out candy canes donated by the Firefighters’ Association.  

Adding to the holiday spirit, a follow-up pickup truck will collect canned food donations for the West Sacramento Christmas Basket, providing much-needed support to local families during the holiday season.

Santa has many neighborhoods that he has to visit throughout the week. So that you don't miss him, we've installed a tracker on his sleigh to let you know his exact whereabouts! Santa Run Schedule and Route

The Santa Run is scheduled for six nights beginning at 6:00 PM each night, from Monday, December 9th, to Monday, December 16th. Santa will tour specific neighborhoods each evening, weather permitting. In case of rain, rescheduling updates will be shared one hour before the event on the West Sacramento Fire Department’s Instagram and Facebook pages. 

Here’s the schedule: 
Monday, December 9th, Old West Sacramento, on the following streets: Deerwood, Lakewood, Fernwood, Sonora, Haverhill, Meadow, Webster, Virginia, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland
Tuesday, December 10th, North Business 80, on the following streets: Pine, Palomar, Marigold, Doran, Garnet, Greenmeadow, Evergreen, Sycamore, Buckeye, Poplar, Willow, Madrone, Rockrose, Westacre, Chaparral, Lilac, Michigan, Maple, Walnut, and Holly
Wednesday, December 11th, Broderick and Bryte, on the following streets: Fremont, Douglas, Andrew, Sixth, Cummins, Anna, Kegle, Carrie, Lisbon, North Hobson, and Fourness

Please understand that Santa cannot get to every street. Santa’s route will not include trailer parks, courts or dead-end streets
